Primary energy is Feminine in a woman, and Masculine in a man. We channel it at eight levels of intensity.
These levels of intensity correspond to eight modes of creativity that range from Fighting (most intense) to Tending (least intense):
Fighting: Ritual, abstracted killing to protect. Involves conflict, competition, defending a goal, delivering blows.
Hunting: Figurative and literal killing to provide. Whether stalking deer or making sales, it’s the same impulse.
Dancing: Moving in sensual rhythm. Includes things like skating, cheerleading, swimming, and drumming.
Singing: The expression of feelings in sound. Can involve musical performance, presentations, conversations.
Painting: Portraying life through art. Conveys inner sensibilities through painting, literature, and other art forms.
Crafting: Creating useful things. Involves activities like knitting a blanket, plowing a field, or restoring a car.
Gathering: Procuring good things. Obtaining and curating art, memorabilia, experiences, and/or information.
Tending: Nurturing to grow and heal. Includes raising and teaching children, nursing the sick, cooking.
In you, one of these basic modes of creativity is dominant. Everyone has one dominant creative mode in which they’re most comfortable and capable.
